Salvatore Interlandi Director
Salvatore Interlandi is a NYC director/writer who gets his inspiration from great New York Filmmakers such as Martin Scorsese and John Cassavetes. His films have been labeled as deep personal dramas that are fascinating journeys of self-discovery. Charlie, his feature film debut, premiered at the Method Fest Film Festival in the spring of 2007, and was hailed by the NY Times as a film with "guts and soul, and a keen appreciation of grown-up pain — qualities sorely lacking in American independent film today." In 2007, Salvatore and Erik Weigel collaborated on a cross country script entitled El Camino, which will premiere this spring at the Cinequest Film Festival in 2008. In 2003, Salvatore teamed up with friend Till Neumann to create The Bakery, winner for Best Cinematography at Vision Fest Film Festival. Salvatore is a versatile Filmmaker who has worked extensively as a Cinematographer, Editor, and Gaffer and is well-versed in many aspects of the Cinema. As a shooter, he has photographed numerous other shorts and features, most notably: Make Pretend, Benny, Speed Freaks, and Lenny.
